Lebanon and Iraq are two intimately linked countries. The repercussions of the political management in these two countries can be seen after the numerous wars that both countries have witnessed: first the Lebanese war, known as the Lebanese civil war, then the US-led war in Iraq against Saddam Hussein’s Baath Party. The two conflicts have provoked deep social, economic and political fragilities.
