Chloé Berger has over ten years of experience in security and defence studies, academic programme design and capacity building in the MENA region. She is currently a research fellow at the belgium Centre d'études de sécurité et défense (CESD). She has been a researcher and guidance counsellor at the NATO Defence College in Rome, specialising in the MENA region, the Sahel and the Alliance's South Partnerships. She has also been a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris and Sciences Po Aix. Her early career took her to Syria and Egypt, where she worked for public and private institutions. She holds a PhD from Paris II – Assas University and is also a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and Université Pierre-Mendès France.
