Farhad Khosrokhavar is a Franco-Iranian sociologist and Director of Studies Emeritus at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. His research focuses on contemporary Iran, Islam in Europe, radicalisation and jihadism, as well as the social and political transformations of the Middle East. A widely published scholar, he has written extensively on the Iranian Revolution, political Islam, prisons and radicalisation, and the evolution of Iranian society.
