The conference is based on a report conducted by the French Center for Research on Iraq and funded by Vision Education, which analyzes the living conditions of women in federal Iraq and the Kurdistan region. It explores the multifaceted challenges that women in these regions face, as well as the advances they have made in terms of emancipation, engagement in civil society and daily living conditions after 2003. This includes evaluating legislative reforms, economic opportunities and security measures that impact women’s lives in the context of ongoing political and social transformations. The aim of this conference is to build bridges and foster an inclusive dialogue to strengthen women’s roles and rights in both regions.
